Elio Sandri - Barolo Perno 2018 is a red wine of great elegance and depth, produced in the Perno district of Monforte d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this Barolo reflects the character of its terroir, with calcareous soils and grey marls.

Description and characteristics

The winemaking follows traditional methods, with spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks and aging for over 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels. On the nose, it reveals ripe red fruit, sweet spices, forest floor, and violet. The palate is full and enveloping, with fine, well-integrated tannins, pleasant freshness, and a long, harmonious finish. Ideal pairing with red meats, game, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
