Lupicaia is the flagship wine of Castello del Terriccio, a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, produced on one of Tuscany’s most scenic coastal estates. The warm 2011 vintage yielded a wine of intensity, depth, and structure, with excellent aging potential.

Description and characteristics

Tasting notes: Deep ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, plum, tobacco, grilled herbs, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with velvety tannins, good freshness, and a long, balsamic finish. Dark chocolate, black pepper, and toasted oak round out the profile.
