Sorì San Lorenzo is one of Gaja’s most historic and powerful single-vineyard wines, located in the heart of Barbaresco. The 2013 vintage is considered classic, offering elegance and structure. The wine is made primarily from Nebbiolo (about 95%) with a small portion of Barbera (about 5%), following the estate’s tradition.

Description and characteristics

Tasting notes: The nose reveals aromas of underbrush, chamomile, dark berries, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is intense and refined, with flavors of licorice, black cherry, exotic spices, and French oak. The finish is long, mineral, and spicy, with well-defined tannins and excellent aging potential.
