Sorì San Lorenzo is one of Gaja’s most iconic single-vineyard wines, located in the heart of Barbaresco. The 2015 vintage produced a powerful and complex wine with excellent aging potential. It is made primarily from Nebbiolo (about 95%) with a small portion of Barbera (about 5%), following traditional practices of the region.>

Description and characteristics

Tasting notes: The nose reveals intense aromas of black cherry, currant, black pepper, anise, dark chocolate, and violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with vivid red fruit, bright acidity, and fine tannins. The finish is long and spicy, with toasted and mineral notes. Best enjoyed after decanting for at least 5 hours.
