List of products by brand Terredora

The Terredora winery is located in the landscaped setting of Serra di Montefusco, in the province of Avellino, among the five bells the most mountainous and hilly area in the region. Placed astride the ridge that separates Valle del Sabato from the Valle del Calore, it has an architecture that constantly seeks the functionality of work, even if there are moments in which these same spaces host events, in that subtle file rouge for which wine it is sociability.

The decision to build the winery in Montefusco was not accidental. It was the result of the presence of the estates in the municipalities of Santa Paolina, Montefusco, Montemiletto, Montefalcione, Lapio, located one next to the other, almost like an ideal wine route between the areas of the three Irpinia DOCGs: Greco di Tufo, Taurasi and Fiano di Avellino. If today the position of Montefusco is extraordinary because it is central to the production areas of the most important wine denominations of Campania, in the past it was for political reasons, given that what is now a small and mountainous municipality was the administrative capital of the Principato Ultra, the whose territory corresponds to the current province of Avellino. Montefusco maintained this position until 1806, when the provinces were rationalized with the arrival of the French. According to modern criteria, Montefusco was now an uncomfortable and small place to host the headquarters of a large province, cold and inaccessible during the winter. Those military qualities that had made it their fortune in the Middle Ages and throughout the Modern Age were no longer considered useful in an era of development and innovation. The decline affected these lands that began to enjoy a certain well-being only from the seventies, thanks to the recognition of the DOC first and in 2003 of the DOCG of Greco di Tufo.
